Lifer

I don't do many blog posts that are just thin links to somebody else's blog posts. I generally like to do my own work.

But this post is just too spot-on. It's eerie. The guy could be writing about me. Same era, same dreams, same disappointments, same compromises. Some of the details are different (he's had way more musical success than I have), but fundamentally it's the same story.

This, my friends, is what it's like to be a lifelong amateur/semi-pro musician.
