Merry Christmas!

Or Happy Hanukkah! Or Joyous Generic Holiday. Or I hope whatever day it is for you, even if it's just a plain ol' Sunday, it is a pleasant one.

We've been hunkered down at the house in unusually cold weather, but I've been enjoying having a nice, small, quiet holiday with the family.

Things have actually been busy on the photography front. As I talked about in my last post, I decided to stick with my DSLR for the near-to-mid future and that decision has been kind of empowering. It's lit a fire under my ass to take some photos and work on my skills instead. And that's always a good thing. I have bought a couple of nice used lenses that I'm sure I'll talk about in the future, but nothing so drastic (and expensive) as a total system change. (The dreamy background in these photos is courtesy of my new-to-me Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 Art lens - a bokeh beast!)

Stay tuned...
