Tobokeh

 

Here's another shot that I took at one of the historical parks in Williamsburg, VA. This was in a barn used for curing tobacco. The photo is a nice little demo of the bokeh possible with the Sigma 18-35mm Art lens.

I'll admit it. I'm kind of sucker for bokeh and I'm probably guilty of overusing it. But I think it's one of the most expressive and compelling in-camera tools a photographer has. Along with motion blur, it transforms the camera from being an instrument of almost overly-literal realism to being capable of dream-like impressionism.
