Southern Gothic

One of the most beautiful scenes typical of the South are cypress trees covered in Spanish moss, growing out of a swamp. Forlorn, decrepit, unsettling, and yet graceful and introspective. Here in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, I don't get see this as often as I did when I lived in Houston. And even driving out to the coast, it's still not the same as what you'd see in that area. I get my fix of this sort of scenery when we go to Florida. I miss it.
