Chicago

My Chicago trip was a bit of a bust from a photography perspective. The Field Museum had surprisingly poor lighting. I naively assumed it would be like the Museum of Natural Science in Houston, which has awesome lighting. So not as many winners in that lot of photos as I'd hoped. It rained so much while I was there that there were flash flood warnings. Shooting in rain is wonderful for certain kinds of photography – the kinds that I don't do very often. Then when my conference started, which was the main reason I was in Chi-Town, I had to do earn my paycheck and just didn't have the time to go out and shoot.

I did manage to get a few nice photos, like this one that I got looking out my hotel room window (!) when the clouds had dispersed enough to give me a nice sunset.
