It's a Small Medieval World After All

This is the famous astronomical clock in Prague.  An astronomical clock has all sorts of fabulous doodads that display astronomical information like the positions of the sun, moon, planets and constellations.  This is an especially cool one as it was built in 1410 (that's not a typo) and sits in Old Town Square which is the tourist center of Prague.  The clock puts on a show every hour with the figures on each side chasing around in circles (Vanity, the Miser, Death, and the Turk) and a procession of the 12 Apostles past a pair of windows that open above the clock, which is not in this photo.  Tourists start piling up around the clock near the hour to catch the show.
